Essential Duties
1. Assists cooks with pre-preparation of ingredients for entrees.
2. Assists cooks in the preparation and service of various foods in assigned work situations including
pantry items, soups, sauces, poultry and fish items.
3. Assists cooks in the preparation of basic dessert items as well as breakfast items for residents.
4. Completes baking assignments for breads, cakes and any other bakery items.

5. Position is part-time from 2:00pm-9:00p.m.

Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple
arithmetic. Ability to understand measurements and conversions. Six months experience as a cook ' s
helper recommended but not required. Ability to interpret standardized recipes, instructions,
specifications and standards.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
Exposure to heat, moisture, odors, changes in temperature, in/out walk-in freezer and refrigerators.
Requires light physical effort involving the lifting of weight up to 25 pounds. Continuous standing,
stooping, walking, carrying, bending, etc.
