Job Description
Prepares Legal Documents by drafting language for documents, typing documents, creating databases for projects, tracking multiple projects.
Prepares agenda items for City Council meetings
Preparing correspondence and closing documents
Communication with home owners to resolve concerns, and requesting and disbursing checks.
Prepares cases by setting up files, drafting routine pleadings, gathering missing information, interviewing and coordinating witnesses, drafting discovery requests and responses, and preparing trial exhibits.
Performs title searches of real estate records by searching various public websites and databases, plotting property descriptions, and compiling and summarizing facts.
Performs administrative duties by answering telephones, filing, training other city employees regarding title search process, preparing correspondence, assisting with citizen requests, and coordinating meetings.
Job Requirements
Certification by the NC Bar Board of Paralegal Certification or ability to obtain in 18 months.
Class C Drivers License
